Sometimes it’s just a weekend away. Sometimes, though, it might be a secret wedding. Jemma and Reagan weren’t even officially engaged, so who would have expected that they’d sneak away and elope?
Tucked away in Anakiwa, at the Sounds Retreat, Jemma and Reagan became husband and wife. It was beautiful, relaxed and full of the most critical ingredient of a wedding; Love.
Finally able to wear her engagement ring after keeping their plans secret for some months now!
And is that just any dress hanging in the wardrobe? Ah, no, that would be a WEDDING DRESS!
Check out these gorgeous blooms by Mayflower.
Thanks to Poppy MacPherdan for the beautiful hair and makeup! As well as her chilled out and happy demeanour, perfectly complimenting the general vibe of the day.
And although Jemma admits to not being much of a ‘girly girl’, check out how drop dead gorgeous she is!
If you’re keen on eloping with the most spectacular view in the universe (or close to it, I imagine), you’ll want to talk to Anne and Tony at The Sounds Retreat. This place is off the charts! Thanks Carol Taylor for making it all happen with your beautiful ceremony.
And with a promise, a kiss and a couple of signatures, Jemma and Reagan are married!
We got lucky with the weather, like REALLY lucky. Only 40 minutes away, in Blenheim, apparently it was pretty ghastly thundering coldness. But in Anakiwa we just got some pretty epic clouds, which I was rather chuffed about.
As well as some swiftly moving, angry looking, clouds.
Jemma and Reagan are a fabulous couple. Fun, easy and not in the slightest bit interested in being stodgy and serious, unless of course, I ask them to be. Thanks guys!
Mr and Mrs Matena, it was a total joy to be part of your wedding day, thank you both. Wishing you guys every happiness together as a married couple!
